She had recently released her candid memoir "Inside Out," and posed the first question during a game of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts." "James, earlier in the greenroom you told me you loved my new memoir," she began. "As someone who's read the book, what was your favorite chapter?" Corden, facing a mouthful of cow blood and pork tongue jelly, was at a loss for words. "Now, I…I…I loved it," he stammered. Kanye West's Met Gala un-interviewWest was mum at this year's Met Gala. While his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was being interviewed by YouTube star Liza Koshy for Vogue, West stood by awkwardly. As Koshy and Kim chatted about everything from dress inspiration to her lawyer aspirations, Kanye was looking over his shoulder, fidgeting and showing all signs of being uneasy. Oh was hosting the Golden Globes in January alongside "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg when she spoke out about whitewashing during the opening monologue. Introducing "Crazy Rich Asians," Oh called it the "first studio film with an Asian-American lead since 'Ghost in the Shell' and 'Aloha,' " the latter of which starred Emma Stone as a part-Asian character. Offscreen, Stone could be heard yelling, "I'm sorry!" from the audience. Chrissy Teigen's awkward New Year's kerfuffleWho better to kick off 2019's most awkward moments than Teigen herself? Teigen was hosting NBC's New Year's Eve with Leslie Jones and Carson Daly when the clock hit midnight and it was time for the mandatory "Happy New Year!" kiss, hug, handshake or salutation. The model leaned in for an embrace with Jones, when Jones' umbrella smacked Teigen in the face. Teigen looked like she was in a bit of pain, but OK nonetheless. Queen Bey and her cub rocked half suit jackets and half gowns on the red carpet Tuesday at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, where the live-action Disney reboot was getting its West Coast debut. Mama Beyonce's hairdo was something to behold as well -- it looks like she went with an intricate braided look, with her hair parted on the left side and slightly curled toward the front. Blue Ivy had her locks up in pigtails, which were wrapped in what looked a lot like diamond hair ties. It's like they were reflecting Bey's character in the flick -- young and adult Nala. A bunch of the cast was there too, including a dapper Donald Glover (Simba), Seth Rogen (Pumba), Billy Eichner (Timon) Keegan-Michael Key (Kamari) and other celebs who showed up just 'cause ... Tiffany Haddish, Chrissy Metz, Jimmy Kimmel and Chance the Rapper. As for what folks are saying about the movie ... it's apparently really, REALLY good (graphics-wise, anyway). Critics are calling it a spectacular visual feat like nothing Disney's done. Yeah, ya gotta catch this one on the big screen. |
