The Sonia Kashuk limited edition Art Meets Beaty Linda Mason collection! Wow, was that a mouth full! So, I went a little crazy with this collection. And this collection went a little crazy on me.
This was one of the hardest collections to get my hands on. Normally if I want something I just go to Target and get it. Apparently this one came with many struggles. First off I pre ordered this collection back in March. So when I checked my Target order it stated that it was being shipped "via standard delivery" and one was expected to be delivered April 9-11. This was also broken into two different shipments with two different shipping dates. Well, I was sent an email April 11th at 12:06am telling me my items were NOT shipped with a new delivery date of 4/29-5/15. Are you flipping kidding me!
So I calmly called Target since I had already seen these items in store and did not purchases them since I had pre ordered them. After one hang up (apparently they could no longer hear me) and two more additional customer services reps and one manager. I was told they were "sold out" and could not do anything for me. When I clicked on the "find in store" tab on the item online it could locate all the items order in four different stores. I asked if they could have those stores ship me the items? I was told no! That is not Targets responsibility to procure my items! I was sooooooo upset. When forwarded to a manager, upon my request, I was told that the manager could not help me and also would not procure my items! My level of frustration now was on a whole other level of upset.
Shame on Target for not shipping me my items but making them available in stores. Also for leaving me to locate all the items on my own. I felt externally failed by Target online and their customer service.
As you can see I did get the items and drove to three different stores to get them and canceled my online order that never shipped.
I have to say out of all this frustration it seemed that only one store and one extremely nice Target Team Member who actually DID CARE, assisted me on locating all items. I gave this Team Member all the DPCI numbers and all items were located for me. I was given all the information I needed to procure these items on my own. I did have to call all the Targets and place all items on hold for me to pick up. But in all this was an amazing, caring and thoughtful team member. I could not thank that person enough!
If all that was not a bad enough experience. My excitement was short lived. Upon opening my "Art of Makeup ABC 6 Piece Brush Set." Sadly someones else's excitement came first. I had noticed that the box was open, but that's not uncommon for drugstore, so I did not think more about it. Until I opened them and realized that all the brushes were dirty with makeup and had been used! Whoever purchased them first, used them and for whatever reason returned them. Now I have used dirty brushes! Not that I can't clean them, but dang that was another let down. I just wish that when people return things, they would be honest that the items have been used. When it comes to the employees excepting the items, check them! No one wants to purchase things that are used and dirty. I have no idea what these brushes were used for or even on. The person who owned and used these could have had herpes or pink eye. I'm not trying to contaminate my makeup or my face for that matter. Ugh, just one more problem that I now have do deal with. Cleaning and sanitizing my (I thought were new) brushes.
As far as online customer service and online ordering process. I felt extremely failed by Target and I don't think I will be placing any online orders with Target any time soon. If I can't locate it in store then I feel it's not worth the hassle of owning.
